Gilded Mountain Cabin Rentals

In the heart of the Black Hills National Forest lies Gilded Mountain, a small recreational development near the slopes of Terry Peak and just miles from the historic gold rush towns of Lead and Deadwood, where outlaws, western legends and madams once played. Walk in the footsteps of Old West legends at the Old Style Saloon or gold pan at an authentic gold mine. Try your luck with some gambling or sample the wines at a local vineyard. Be sure not to miss the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in August, where the nearby town of Sturgis welcomes half a million motorcycle enthusiasts.

Explore the unique caves at Wind Cave National Park and Jewel Cave National Monuments, with miles of underground passages hidden below acres of pine forests teeming with wildlife. Enjoy a Native American dancing performance at the Crazy Horse Memorial or drive the loop road at Custer State Park where the buffalo herds roam and the wildflowers bloom.
