This vacation rental offers beautiful views of the ski resort to the west and the rolling Black Hills to the north. The large decks on the lower and main level host a private hot tub, swing, gas BBQ Grill and seating, perfect for enjoying the scenery. The custom touches and unique decor make this one of a kind!
This cabin will sleep 13 with 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The main level bedroom has a King-size bed; the upstairs is an open loft bedroom with 2 full-size beds; the lower level has 1 bedroom with a queen bed and the 4th bedroom with a set of twin bunk beds and a bunk bed with full on bottom, twin on top.
You will love the spacious living areas up and down, with 2 gas fireplaces, 3 flat screen TV/DVD combos with satellite TV, including one in the main floor bedroom, comfy couches and seating to relax and enjoy! The main floor has a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and island that seats 3 and a dining table for 4. There is the walk-out to the deck with BBQ Grill, seating and a private hot tub. The lower level has the large family room with a Foosball table.
Located on the Terry Peak Ski Area, just minutes from the slopes, snowmobile and ATV trails and hiking trails, it's a 10-minute drive into Deadwood and 25 minutes to Sturgis. *NO tents or campers are allowed at any property.*

Beautiful fall weekend in the northern Hills was made even more memorable by our stay in this beautiful home! Very clean and plenty of room for 2 families to enjoy a getaway together. All the amenities are there including ping-pong, hot tub, etc. Reached out once to property manager as the wifi wasn't working but was a quick fix, someone had unplugged the hot spot and left it in a drawer before we arrived. Easy fix and they responded immediately. Also messaged about an issue with stair railing (not a safety issue) and they messaged back promptly. Highly recommend this property!

Alta Vista is a perfect getaway. The home is modern yet comfy and has everything you need. The beds were all very comfortable and all the furniture was very nice. The details were all done right and the hot tub was really nice! Highly recommend Alta Vista!!

Overall very satisfied with the property. There were 9 of us and we did feel a little cramped in the kitchen area. Property was really clean. It was a lot of driving for when we were doing activities around Custer and Mt. Rushmore. Plenty of sleeping areas for everyone.

This vacation home was the best weve had yet through VRBO. The house was so clean it sparkled! Super location to visit Mt Rushmore, Devils Tower, Custers National Park, and many unknown sites & trails. Loved it!!

The process of renting and communication of property details was very simple, quick and thorough. They were as good as any I've stayed with in the past and better than some.

The property itself was incredible. We loved the spaciousness, it was very adequate for our needs. We had a party of 8 (plus a baby) - we could have easily had a few more people and had the beds for them. The decorations and style of the property was great. Nice covered deck to hang out on with a good propane grill. They have a large hot tub on the deck as well.
The large table held us all as well. The kitchen had everything you needed for the most part. We did find us bumping in to each other when more than 2 of us were trying to work in the kitchen, but very nice other than that.
It does take a bit of a drive to get to the southern parks and towns in the Black Hills but I liked the scenic drives myself. (Our baby boy got a little tired of it though).
I would love to come back and revisit some areas and a couple locations we didn't get to. Plus spend more time fishing and hiking.

Overall nice place to stay. Very clean. A little less stocked than most places we've stayed but still good. Weren't able to use the garage so that wasn't ideal. Might have to pay more to use which isn't normal for rental homes from my experience. About a 2 minute drive from Terry Peak Ski Resort so that was nice.

Overall, this was a great place and awesome vacation in SD. There was a hiccup in the beginning where the house number didn't match but we figured it out after 5 mins of driving. The place was in excellent shape and clean. It was only right to give the housekeeper a small tip after we left. This place is next to Terry Peak, so if you plan on driving around just make sure you know how to do it around incline/decline of mountain roads. Thankfully done enough driving around NM and CO for skiing so it wasn't a hassle in our 15 passenger van, lol. Will definitely consider this place of we ever ski here. But thanks for opening your rental to us which allowed us to see the beauty of SD!!!
