The lodge is beautiful! I would recommend lowering the price of the cleaning fee if guests are expected to strip the bed, run a load of towels, put away dishes and take out trash. It made checking out less pleasant and is a good bit of work for folks already paying $100 for a cleaning service.

I had let the deadline for paying the balance on the cabin sneak up on me and it hit on Memorial Day. I panicked and made both phone calls and emails to see if I could get an extension. I received an email that same day letting me know that all was well and I could pay on the Tuesday after the holiday. That relieved my stress greatly.
We also arrived at the cabin an hour early driving in from Loveland, CO, and couldn't get the code to work to open the door. I realized it was probably because we were early, so I called the office and the woman who answered was very accommodating - she gave us a temporary code that would work for the next hour. We got in and were able to unpack right away!

Thank you for offering such a beautiful place in the gorgeous Black Hills of South Dakota. We were extremely comfortable there; it felt like home to all of us. We will definitely want to return to that country and will think first of Deadwood Connections when considering where to stay.
